Which sandals with this dress?

Looking for a bit of advice - I don't get dressed up too often so I'm a bit hopeless! I'm going to a black tie event next week, it's an awards ceremony and judging by the photos from last year women were wearing a mixture of formal and cocktail type dresses. This is the dress I'm planning on wearing:

Keeping in mind that I'm a couple of sizes bigger than the model and a few inches taller, which type of sandals would look better?

    Gladiator style flats in silver:

    Black wedges:

    Thanks :)

I prefer the wedges, simply because I see glads as more of a Summer shoe whereas the wedges could be seen as either Summery or dressy :) I like the idea of black shoes with it because the dress is detailed enough not to need a big contrast, so the black should give you a nice clean line.
That's a lovely dress, I hope you enjoy your evening!

I, too, prefer the wedges. They are really lovely. The dress is gorgeous.

I think the black, too: more formal. And maybe somewhat more formal hair, just to "finish" the look.

Fantastic, thanks all. I was leaning towards the wedges myself. Regarding hair - I have a bob so too short for an up style. I have a hair appointment though and am planning on getting either a curly blow dry or ghd curls.

Thanks again, I do appreciate the feedback. :)
