Dormer joist insulation\ventilation

    Hi,

Apologies in advance for the crude drawing!

I'm looking to get some additional insulation on a dormer bungalow as it can get quite cold. Had some insulation people out with suggestions for insulating the side attics.

In the picture the red parts are the roof and 1st floor joists. There is no insulation between these. They propose that insulation be put between the floor joists only (just in the side attic area not under the whole floor) There is insulation on the vertical walls marked in green.

Would there be any issue with the floor joists not getting enough ventilation by stuffing insulation between them in the side attic?
