Amazon deliveries

Anyone experiencing problems with deliveries from amazon.co.uk? It looks like my last 2 orders will not arrive. One even had a tracking number and when I asked why there was no update on the tracking site after a week of waiting, I was just given a refund. The second order was meant to arrive on Monday but no sign yet. A friend of mine has had similar problems with an order from amazon. They are resending his order for the 3rd time now but he's not hopeful.

Is this just coincidence or have others been having problems with amazon?

Are you buying stuff from Amazon themselves?
Amazon is a bit like Ebay these days, just providing a storefront for a lot of people to sell stuff. If it says "fulfilled by Amazon" or "super saver delivery" it's a good sign. Otherwise you could be dealing with a spare room operator selling on cheap rubbish, or waiting for stock.

The first order was fulfilled by amazon and the second was a mixture of amazon & fulfilled by amazon. They were eligible for super saver delivery.

I have had 3 deliveries, this week and last. No problems, no delays.

We had one recently, supplied by Amazon, that took a good two weeks plus from date of order. Postal dispute was in the middle of this so may have slowed delivery by a day or two, but overall it took a lot longer than any previous orders.

Was it amazon sarl, they are quite slow. Amazon tracking is a joke. I have items delivered 2 weeks ago, and on the tracking ,it shows ,nearly there. Also when you leave feedback, its only for packaging. You are not allowed to discuss anything else.

The first order was fulfilled by Amazon and had a tracking number from i-parcel which seems to be run by UPS. The 2nd was a mixture but sent by An Post.

Orders seem to be receiving orders so it may just be bad luck.

First problem I've ever had with an Amazon.co.uk order has occurred this month.

6 items. 4 Amazon, 1 fulfilled by Amazon, 1 Amazon Add-on item. All in stock. Super Saver Delivery.

Ordered items on 8th October. Predicted delivery: 21-23rd October. Receive despatch email on 10th October with revised delivery time of 14th October. Despatched as 1 parcel via An Post no tracking number.

No show on the 14th. Asked local PO in case it had been carded (unlikely as was in nearly all of the time) on 16th. Nothing there.

Contacted Amazon on 19th with ring-back. Spoke to customer service person within 15 sec. Asked to wait until 22nd and if no show, order considered lost and would be re-sent, with exception of 1 fulfilled item, which would be refunded.

No show as of today. Contacted Amazon today with ring-back. As before, promptly connected with customer service. Told that 4 items would be sent today. Add-on item only available by third-party seller now, so refund now for the 1 fulfilled by Amazon, 1 Amazon Add-on item. Despatch would be today, with delivery date of next Tuesday (27th).

I'm a bit annoyed as the fulfilled item is the main reason for the order, the other stuff was less necessary "filler" to make up the amount for Super Saver delivery. I'm at a loss for the disappearance of the parcel. Did An Post get it in the first place? Did An Post lose it? Did An Post get funny about batteries in calculators or a pair of Parker pen ink refills? I haven't heard nothing.

    Sent by Asendia?

I order 3 things recently and only received one. I had to wait 3 weeks each time to get a refund for the orders that never came.

I used to regularly praise amazon for their speed and efficiency, but I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere from no on.

Got my second order there yesterday. It was supposed to arrive on 19th Oct. Don't know what happened the first.
