Considering an air source heat pump with rads. One of the high temp ones. Being bamboozled with I do. House is 3700 sq ft and poorly insulates but we are getting airtime pumped into the cavity and attic. House will apparently v e 85% airtight afterwards. Good quality double glazing. 25 years old house. Don't mind the initally outlay as long as we get a comfortable house with constant heat. Will be in the house all day. 4 kids. What is meant by a heat pump will possibly not work for our type of house? Is it that we will be needing to boost it with oil? Will we need be able to achieve adequate temps? Has anyone done something similar? Any opinions as to proceed or stick with our oil? It's the consistency of the heat that attracts as opposed to always switching on and off the oil
