I'd recommend Bonfire also. Better food than the Mogul IMHO.

Bonfire is also cheaper than the other indians in town, although I think the portions are very slightly smaller

Just to confuse you even more I love Tulsi..The Veg Patala is lovely..cant seem to get it anywhere else !

Dammit might just have to try a few! How times change I've never heard of any of these but then again it's been quiet a while since I last had an Indian in Ennis! Can remember when there wasn't any and driving to Galway to have my first!

If you plan to eat out, just make sure the restaurant is reasonably busy.

As someone who has done an awful lot of travel to places where I didn't speak the language, if you're eating out go to places that have people in it, if you see a casual place with loads of locals in it, go in there and ask for a drink, keep an eye on what people are being served and if you spot something that you think looks good just point to the person who's eating it.

This is from the person who went "moooo" when trying to order a steak while in 1 particularity embarrassing situation.

Did something change in Bonfire? On just eat as 'New Bonfire' and food was definitely different not bad but a lower standard

Had Bonfire last night and didn't notice any great difference except that the Pilau rice was pretty much all white rather than that multicolour I associate with it. I hope it's not changed

No one said it had changed, someone just asked if it had changed and some else said they thought it had changed. I said it seemed the same except something small with the rice. Geez, talk about jumping to conclusions...

I thought it was just me, I got a takeaway there a couple of days ago and I believe there was a noticable change in quality. I'll give them another go, it might have been an off night.

The Tandoor chicken I had last night seemed the same as always. And there was as many basil leaves in the rice as always

So, curious, there are still only the two Indian places - Tulsi and Bonfire? Both are good, but seems a bit daft to have an entire thread dedicated to which one of the TWO is the best. It's not like there is a long list.
