Ford Focus timing belt intervals

    Hi. Anyone know when the timing belt is due to be done on the new model 2011 Ford Focus 1.6 tdci 115 duratorq engine.I cant seem to find the answer anywhere.

    I think it should be 180,000km but AFAIK some of these had the interval reduced by Ford. You'd want to double check from the VIN to be 100% sure.

    They only reduced them in the last while on the 1.6 mondeo to 140k so i presume the focus is the same.

    That's what I was thinking. Having said that I checked a 2012 Focus on ETIS just now (no I don't have anything better to be at :pac:) and it was still saying 180,000km so maybe it's just the Mondeo.

    Is that km or miles.If its miles it has to be done at 87,000 miles.That seems very low miles for a belt change.

    I see the service intervals but cant find the belt intervals

    It tells you in the service schedule. If you pick a random mileage and scroll down through the list it will give you the interval.
