Alternator Squeak

Over last few days the alternator (MX5) has developed a screeching sound on cold start up, all belts were replaced recently so that can be ruled out. I've noticed with higher power draw (all lights on and aircon) it increases in noise and then reduces as these are turned off.

I'm thinking this might be a tensioner issue as opposed to the alternator itself being stuffed. Any suggestions? Thanks

Does it have a manual tensioner? Probably the belt just needs to be tightened up a little after being changed.

Yes manual tensioner, can see a slight bit of movement on it so maybe that's all that's needed, thanks
