Wiggle - Driving me mad!!

    ok.

I ordered some things on wiggle, not much, jersey, jacket etc.

    Never came.

I checked deliver status. Said damaged in transit.

I emailed to see what was up and was told I would have to await a refund but I could order the goods again. Pretty crap way of doing things but I ordered again and for a period of a week or two I was out twice the value of my purchase.

    Again it never arrived.

Queue many many emails and calls to An Post and wiggle.

It turned up in Port Laoise.

They said delivery was attempted (I gave them work address so pretty sure it wasn't) and that they were returning it to sender.

    I email wiggle.

They say they haven't a clue and never received it back. They check again. "Oh, we do have it. would you like me to send it back out?"

I told him I wasn't afforded this courtesy last time and that I was sick of it now and just wanted my refund.

    They said ok.

I asked for confirmation email. It never came.

    Two weeks later. No refund.

I email them. They say its out for deliver.

    I pull out some hair.

I say how, I asked for a refund.

They say wait a day and see if it turns up.

I wait a few days and email again.

They say its delivered. Online Trak my Pak say its delivered but not An Post like the first time.

    I write again.

They say they can't offer a refund now as its delivered and I should. "check with my neighbours!!

Anyone else ever have trouble with them?

I used them loads in the past but this will be the last time!

I've placed 2 orders with them in the last 2 weeks. The first said it had shipped the next day (Friday), it wasn't, it was shipped on the Monday and I got it Thursday.
Then I placed another order on Monday, it still hasn't shipped. Back to CRC for me.

OP, do a chargeback on your credit card. And inform wiggle as such, that should sort this fairly sharpish.

I've used them many times, and never had issue. I do prefer chain reaction though.

    +1

Quit the d1cking around; endless phone calls and emails.

You paid by credit card or laser/maestro?

I've never had a problem with them, but what happened with you sounds like a total farce! I only wish it didn't take 5 working days for most deliveries, but really, that is a first world problem. I do like the DHB clothes they do though

I had problems with CRC deliveries a few times, an post tracking said items were delivered or attempted delivery but neither happened, called to the sorting office and the packages were there. Might be worth a call down to the sorting office. (The items I was getting delivered were small enough boxes to be sent through the track and trace for the normal post and not the an post courier service)

They still seem to be having problems following their warehouse expansion. Saying that all previous orders I've made (bar a return for a faulty pair of shoes) were completed quickly.
Found the customer service contact good.

Wheelies are a good firm to deal with...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 388 ✭✭shansey

Theyre adamant it was delivered so I'm disputing the charge.

I find it funny that An Post weren't involved here like they were the first time.

Never had a problem with them but they were slower shipping a delivery to me last week than they were any time before.

Ordered twice from them and had trouble each time, delivery time was ridiculous too

I've never had an issue with any of the numerous orders I've placed. Remain quite a happy customer and quite willing to recommend them to others based on my experience so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 388 ✭✭shansey

I never had a problem before either but now that a problem has arisen I find myself in trouble.

Their customer service is actually quite good in that they respond quickly.

I feel like I have been beating my head off a brick wall though.

And I have nowhere else to go.

I'm waiting on a couple of brown boxes myself (not Wiggle) that are taking longer than usual to come through. I wouldn't be surprised if there are lingering problems with An Post following the recent strike, even though it shouldn't affect parcels.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,185 ✭✭✭G1032

I've purchased from them a good few times and never had am issue.
Last purchase was a pair of shoes and the size I got was too small. Returned and got available size up and it was pretty much hassle free.
The delivery can be a bit slow sometimes but other than that I'd have no issues

Jaysus, that sounds awful. Like the others, I've ordered dozens of times and never had any issue at all. For me (in Dublin) CRC deliveries are lightning fast, but I find Wiggle prices are typically lower.

Never had any problems at all! Touch wood!
I live up North though, Royal Mail is quite good.

    Well.

after nearly two months and countless emails. And being told my package was delivered and that I wouldn't be getting a refund I called the UK courier service who said even though it says the package has been delivered that it was actually on its way back to wiggle.

Not so much as an apology. I have however got my refund.

Just so its known I've used them loads before and everything has been fine. its just that when things went tits up they didn't want to know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 68,317 ✭✭✭✭seamus

Last order I did from Wiggle landed right in the middle of the postal dispute. So there was that.

Still said, their new tracking process was a pile of ****. I had to click-through 3 different tracking sites to get the actual tracking site for the package. And it never really updated at all until the day it arrived.

I'm living in London at the moment and can see how Wiggle's delivery and returns systems are designed for UK customers primarily.

The returns service comes with a Collect+ Label - which makes returning stuff super handy and free. Delivery still takes about 4 working days, though. And I've been left waiting longer. If that's the case with using one delivery company, handing over to a second link in the chain would only increase opportunities for delays and logging errors I reckon.

I recently used CRC again for the first time in ages, and it was lightning fast; got it the next day with free standard delivery. I'll go to them first for the next while.

ive never had an issue with them but then again ive never had a problem. how a company deals with customer issues is the hallmark of them IMO. From reading this Id have to say it would put me off using them again in future if I can get as good a price from CRC, Swimcyclerun etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,263 ✭✭✭✭Borderfox

Wiggle and Ribble I found very bad, great service with CRC and Swim Cycle Run

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,131 ✭✭✭Bambaata

Ive been ok with Wiggle to date, CRC always tops with regard speed of delivery from purchase. That said i haven't ever had any issues with either so cant comment on that end. Fingers crossed all is ok with Wiggle as ive just bought the Castelli Body Paint bibs and cannot wait to try them out!!

I've always had reason to complain about wiggle, I have put bout 10 orders in with them over the last few tear, one being over €500 and not once have I got a free bag of haribo from them.....It's maddening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 198 ✭✭torydiver

Never had any real issues with any of mainland UK sites, have ordered plenty from them over the years.....

Have found PBK to be slower than other sites but still within their stated delivery times,

Given the sterling exchange rate lately, I've been using swimcyclerun for recent orders and have found them excellent to deal with....

I'm having issues with Wiggle as well.

Ordered a set of tyres on the 12. Tracked deliver. It appears a deliver was attempted at a wrong address.

Contacted Wiggle. They tell me they dont have tracking number for the parcel and I'd just have to wait.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 20,366 Mod ✭✭✭✭RacoonQueen

Only ever had one delivery not received from them. Normally I would get it within 5 working days from ordering. Contacted them on day 7, they asked me to wait 21!
Had no problem then, they resent it and got it within in 5 days after second dispatch. Wasn't happy with waiting a month for my order though. They would have been more accommodation, have literally spent thousands on their site and never complained.

Any website that allows you to order via PayPal by the way, use PayPal. Protection is all for buyers.

Can Wiggle tell you who signed for the order that they say was delivered but never was?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭D3PO

seems this thread could be a jinx. I ordered a new wheelset and cadence and speed sensors from Wiggle just before this thread started.

just checked this morning and order still hasn't been processed. sheesh.

I think this is the last time I'll use them, ordered a 2 pack of 25C tires, received 1x25 and 1x23, no response from them in over 48hours,

I got a bottle chain degreaser from Wiggle about a month back. It was sealed in a plastic postal bag within a box. The seal was broken on the bottle and the cap wouldn't close tightly. I emailed them with a photo and a new bottle was dispatched the next day. I thought their customer service was excellent.

For delivery I'd rate Swim Cycle Run first (always next day), CRC are 2 days, Evans take a week and then Wiggle could take up to 2 weeks.

I ordered new lights (not from Wiggle) €75 for front and rear, opened the box... I got 2 front & 2 rear and a pair of gloves, 😀

Well i must have jinxed myself! After 3 days of "processing" i contacted them to then get a response today stating that due to an error they didn't have the large Body Paint in stock and hence my order has been cancelled. Ive let them know in wont be using them again! Was looking forward to my first set of body Paints :(

    Jaysus the saga goes on.

I've been told it has been delivered. It hasn't.

I have been told it wasn't tracked. It is.

I was told I can collect in Glenageary, Co Dublin. No address.

I've been told I cant get it delivered to my work address. Not sure why. I've been told I can get it sent to my home address.

I've asked for a refund but told I cant as its been delivered. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha Ha the pain of it.. sounds like my story. The bit that pissed me off was that they told me it was delivered and wouldn't refund me even though I never received it. And after a week of emails asked me to check my neighbours house!!

Me too. I ordered a new wheelset from them. 3 days in processing and when I contact them im told that due to "a quality control issue" it was mistakenly llisted as in stock when I ordered.

I asked them to cancel. Still haven't had a refund and order is sitting in Back Order. Even though they told me they would cancel. Tweeted asking for somebody to contact me was told they would. still waiting ....

last time I use em unless they have an amazing deal that cant be turned down.

Interesting guys. Ive got loads from wiggle in the past without ever having had a problem but waiting on a derailleur now a few days....

If they changed a order system could explain what's going on now. This happened me before with planet X and they admitted to having problems with a new label printing system.

Anyway twice I have problems with delivery and in both cases no joy through normal channels. But once you open a PayPal dispute (always try and use It) and different vendor department seems to handle it and things get resolved very quickly.

Not sure exactly why but they do not like PayPal disputes.

Basically I give vendor one chance through normal channels and if nothing happening in 24 hrs straight to PayPal. Otherwise you could be dicking around for ever

jesus it gets better and better. my order is "stuck in back order" and they cant cancel it or refund me right now but their "IT team are looking into it"

    shambolic to say the least

I was told that they have moved from the south coast to midlands and have been having some issues. Seems their stock control is not working. I wouldn't be surprised if in the move things have been misplaced

Chargebacks cost them money (since they've already paid the transaction fee), but they can also affect reliability scores. When you're a big company like Wiggle processing your own payments, you don't want to see a lot of chargebacks, or you'll start being blacklisted for payments.

I remember placing an order for a photobook before. Never appeared, loads of emails back and forth, promises that it was coming, etc etc. Two months later I eventually opened a dispute with Paypal to get my money back. Two days after that they voluntarily refunded the money (i.e. without a black mark on their Paypal account), and had shipped me the order free of charge.

Chargebacks and disputes are very powerful ways of solving problems, but if you abuse them the companies will blacklist you and close your account.

I recently had a small order with bike discount in Germany and package only had Ireland on it as the address (know this as rang dpd in athlone at the time).

They ignored the trouble ticket but when they saw the PayPal dispute offered me a refund or could send new package. Asked for new package which duly arrived within the few days (they ensured I closed PayPal dispute before doing anything)

Thought that was end of it but got an email few weeks later saying original package had arrived back in warehouse and they had refunded me.

Yes that's how it worked out in the end. But I would have preferred if they arrived as normal the first time without all the messing about.

3 weeks later my order turned up. I've since got a refund. Now to get on to wiggle again!
