Redundancy/Tax/Pension

    Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help with my query. I am taking redundancy soon and am thinking of taking the higher exemption to avail of a greater tax free allowance. I'm aware that this forfeits your right to a lump sum from pension.

I currently don't have a pension but will have one in the future. My question is: by taking the higher exemption, do I forfeit my right to a lump sum from all future pensions or just the one linked to my current employer?

    Many thanks.

It's just the pension from that company
