Boiler not working and displaying error

Hello everyone, hopefully somebody can help me with this problem. Yesterday I went to start up the heating (It was off all summer) and discovered that the boiler won't fire up. It's displaying an AL 02 error which means that the water pressure is lower than 0.5 bar.

I raised the pressure back to 1.2 bar as stated in the instruction manual but the boiler keeps displaying the same error. I tried the reset button but it didn't change anything.

Any ideas how to get the boiler to start?

Try turning the mains power off for ten seconds.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I did that but the problem didn't clear.
However, I found a post on another forum where some people with the same problem increased the pressure to near 2 bar and it cleared the error. I had to increase mine to 1.6 bar and it finally started working again.

Follow up question: Is it dangerous to leave the boiler to work at such pressure?

it's not dangerous but as the pressure reaches 3 bar your safety valve will open, 1-1.5 bar(cold) is the ideal position for the gauge.

Contamination in the heating system can be the cause for defect water pressure switches so it may be worth having your system checked contamination(dirt)
