It's getting ridiculous at this stage.. Just listening to Radio 1 now. Audrey Carville is asking the questions and as soon as she's finished asking her question all you can hear is the noise of her writing, and the rustling of paper, which is all coming back through the microphone. And it's not just her, the other presenters of Morning Ireland (and Mary Wilson ) are just as bad.

As well as being rude (as if she's writing then she's obviously not giving full attention to the response to the question), it is extremely irritating to listen to.

There was a period when Morning Ireland was ruined with heavy nasal breathing over the mics from the hosts, as well as pen clicking.

It went on for months before it seemed to fade a little, you'd think the producers can hear it too and tell the presenters to stop? Very unprofessional.

This has now started on RTE2 FMs Game On programme at 7pm as well, can't remember which presenter it is now, but we are getting nasal snorting and pen clicking.

Come on RTE, sort it out.

The Sound Ops need to bring the mics of those not speaking down a little, that's all.
They do it on Newstalk with no problems on pay and conditions much less favorable than the 'brothers' over in Donnybrook.

The one that annoys me is Today FM. On the Ray Darcy show you could always hear the printer spitting out pages in the background. I though it would improve with his departure, but no, you can still hear it on Anton's show.

There always seems to be a hiss on Morning Ireland as well, I've noticed.

Sean O'Rourke still does this and it drives me nuts, had to switch stations which is a shame as the content was fine it's just really offputting
