Hope this is the right forum.

My nephew is starting up his own construction business, he is a bricklayer and has already secured contracts for work.what does he need to start up ? He also hopes to employ 2/3 men ?

    Where would he start. Thanks

If he's already secured work then a start your own business course is probably not practical. His first point of call should be an accountant, a good accountant should be able to guide him through the legalities of starting a company, registering for tax, registering as an employer etc etc etc.

good accountant is a must before he goes too far down the road.. it will help him understand the full costs in starting and employing lads..

You'd be surprised the amount of lads that tender for jobs, start up - hire men, and then the hidden costs eat up what they expected to be the profit on the job..

Good for him! Hope he does well.

Talk to an accountant. Accountant will guide you through the set up, registering the business name, doing his tax returns etc. Don't forget appropriate insurance.
Employing people, again, the accountant will help you with that.
