No it wont start with a jump or a with a push start, the batterys showing 12.8V when i put the testers on, i also only got the starter reconditioned recently

As soon as things get cold we see many many threads on the same topic - car won't start, and it's very often the battery.

Is that 12.8V with the engine running, or off?

The battery was showing 12.8 not started and the engine won't turn over at all when the key is turned
I was reading a lot about some sort of diesel pressure pump and the wax inside of it freezing on cold mornings?? Any1 know anything about that?

    Battery almost certainly.

Diesel will wax at arctic temperatures, but we don't get those temperatures in Ireland. Plus the engine would turn over regardless .

The battery may read 12.8V with no load, but under load is when you should be measuring.

Voltage doesn't mean a good battery. A conductance tester is the only conclusive way.

You need to get a reading of the meter when someone turns the key and see if the voltage drops.

I tested the battery when someone turned the key and it went from 12.8V to 12.25V which i imagine should be enough to start it or at least turn it over
Im going to clean all the earths and try it again

Leads to starter or starter motor itself your not drawing enough current

I had a 407 with a similar issue. It'd always start, but sometimes it took a few goes. Usually only happened in the mornings (as it was left sitting overnight). I changed battery and the glow plugs with mild success (by mild, I mean none).

I would put money on that being a starter motor or connection going to it.
If your battery voltage is dropping under load means its trying to turn the starter.

Is there any clicking from the starter.

I went all around the engine bay and cleaned down all the earths as i was advised to do by a mechanic friend nd shes starting on the button every time :)
