I have a problem with a baxi solo 3 pfl boiler in a rented house. When the boiler is switched on i have boiler led on,fan on,pilot on,burner on.i can see the pilot flame but there is no heat.So im presuming the main burner is not lighting.
Back in may i got a new pcb fitted and a new solenoid fitted on gas valve by an rgi.The boiler is 11 years old.im wondering what could be the possible problem before i call the rgi service technician tomorrow..,any help appreciated

PS ,or is it time to bite the bullet and get a new boiler

It could be any of a few possible faults but if the "boiler on" led is illuminated and it's just the pilot that is alight. The inlet gas pressure at gas valve should be the first thing checked for 20mbar. Burner pressure then should be checked. Maybe Blocked injector/s and check that there is no issue with pilot assembly/pilot hood, pilot flame size. If all of the above is ok it's a either a faulty gas valve solenoid/ gas valve or possible a pcb fault.

All simple checks for an RGI

    Hope this helps
