I need to replace a dual immersion heater for a family member (yeah another great paying job :( ). The old one is in almost 7 years and was never wired in. I went to wire it up today and found water under the cover.

My question; should I just replace it with a regular one or should I get one that can handle corrosion better? It's easy to get at for replacement.

Are they in a bad water area?

Id be inclined towards a normal immersion

Yes, its a tough water area. I live close by and ended up taking mine out and using the burner to heat the cylinder. What is the difference in price between the regular one and the more robust ones?
