I'm buying something for $3000 from the US. I'm wondering how I work out exactly how much it's going to cost me - and am I better putting it on my credit card or doing a wire transfer or some other type of money transfer?
    Thanks

Check the bargains alert forum for the Revolut card thread.

Credit card - easiest, safest way.

You possibly could save €20 by using a transfer service. I find its rarely worth the time and trouble.

You're a long time boardsie so I assume you know already, but just in case, the tax bill is likely to be ~ €660 for it if its physical goods and 3K includes shipping.
