    Same thing.

thanks is there a clutch nipple or does it come out when bleeding the brakes

That shape Polo uses a cable clutch so the fluid is only for the brakes.

    What problems are you having?

brakes are not very good the brake fluid looks like it needs changing the brake pedal is soft do u think there is air in the brakes
And does it make any diffrence if i use brake and clutch fluid

There could be air in the brakes, or it could be something as simple as the rear brake shoes needing to be adjusted. Either way a brake fluid change won't go amiss.

As I said already, the fluid is the same regardless of whether it says brake or brake and clutch on the container.

OP, soft pedal after bleeding is fairly common. Usually it means there is air in the system.
Try bleeding again and make sure to get all air out.

I see you mention the soft pedal even before the bleeding - I will merge the threads together.

How did you bleed the system? Alone? With a proper bleed bottle?

Bled all four wheels again and is air free, still have soft pedal. Is it common on older cars? Have very good brakes

In that case maybe take it to a mechanic. Is it possible that you're just used to a different brake and that the pedal is normal for the brand?

Take George Dalton's advice above and check the rear drum brakes. A seized joint or wrong adjustment could cause the problem you describe.
