    Hi guys,

    My dad has a 98 BMW Z3 and he's trying to get rid of it or swap it.

    He can't seem to sell it but he has the chance to swap for the Peugeot mentioned above.

    I've heard they are crap - would you recommend against it? Even if he swapped and drove it for a few months would he be able to sell it easier than the Z3?

    If it was me I would put more effort in to trying to sell the Z3 and with the cash get something better. Has he got it up on Donedeal with lots of photos taken and a complete description or is he relying on a photo taken at night and 2 words to sell it?

    Bad time of the year trying to sell a convertible, may not be the worst idea in the world swapping it for a 407 diesel despite them having a poor rep. What is the 407 like, lots of tired old dogs out there that are money pits so be very careful. A rotten 407 is worth nothing all year long whereas a Z3 can be sellable again next April or May.
