Nissan Navara egr valve

    took my navara for a diagnostics test because it had high fuel consumption.
    the egr valve has been blocked off and it was recommended I replace it at a cost of €800 does anybody know if this will reduce fuel consumption.
    there was also a problem with the neutral position switch and blocked air filters which were both recommended replacing.

    The blanked EGR valve is unlikely to have anything to do with it's thirst, but the blocked air-filter probably does. Do you know what exact error codes the diagnostics revealed?

    no the codes are not on print out.
