Where in the south east is the best place to get galvanised feed gates for cattle? What price would I be looking at for 16 foot (x2) of these gates? Thanks

Get the tombstone ones, they are a far better gate and the calves can't jump through them. They were about 220 plus vat compared to the diagonals that were around 160 plus.

You'll buy head locking barriers for that money and still have money over for meal to entice them out.

Got a new quote for the exact same feed gates 300 euros less. Pays to shop around.

We make our own 16ft diagonal barriers, material cost is about €100. Spray the welds with aerosol after.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Was talking to a local engineering crowed today and I said to him I can buy made up 15.9 with brackets for 220 - he said it would cost him most of that for materials - he did say his had heavier steel in it but all I need it for is weanling heifers so the 1 for 220 will do me

Btw he also said it would cost 70 bucks to galvanise it alone as it is charged by weight!!
