Thoughts on this? Probably (hopefully) some delinquent playing a silly prank.

Irish times reporting it. Link is unavailable at the minute.

Would it sway our thoughts on the possible security breach that could come in the form of 4500 refugees?

Yes, as geographical proximity will make it easier to send the hack down the magic wires.

Why can't people just take screenshots of these when they post about it?

This happened a few months back to a couple of Irish sites, tallaght and clondalkin leisure centres I think? Apparently they just trawl the internet looking for vulnerable sites and it has nothing to do with a threat to that particular institution.

What it has it got to do with the refugee situation?

Somehow I doubt that's the real Da'esh, if they're referring to themselves as "ISIS" - they just prefer the term "IS" now.

I'd say that the webpage looks too plain to be hacked by Da'esh, but then again if it's not even UL they mightn't have bothered.

Two ****ty unformatted images and plain text?

ISIS would be ashamed of such a zero-effort job

"it", you say it could have been crazy people or it could have been a prank. Nobody knows.
If it was crazies then they are looking for notice and saying 'look at what we can do', i.e. break in to a website.
If it was some kid in a basement, he was 'look at what I can do'.

    Because. Immigants.

You're right though they probably trawl the net looking for POODLE vulnerabilities.

ISIS doesn't/didn't even stand for "Islamic State in Syria".

And they'd probably know how to spell the name Syria properly. ("Sysria")

An unbelievable amount of website, normally SMEs and older companies who don't appreciate security, are easily accessed.

It's not uncommon to come across a ten year old CMS with zero security in place. Vulnerabilities are normally known about and posted on hacking message boards. So this was likely less of a "hack" and more of a "script kiddie" who watched Mr. Robot.

In fairness to them, coming from arabic our alphabet would be a bit difficult.
