I've just gone back to education and i'm in my first year of college , i'm wanting to put as much as i can into this because i have dropped out in the past but i want to be successful in this course, i switched from fulltime to parttime in my job and told them i wanted to do the minimum hours possible which was 16 hours per week. I was hoping this would only be saturday and sunday but because of their opening hours i was short an hour so i have to start working fridays too. So Monday - Friday in college, Friday evening , all saturday and sunday at work. It is all becoming a bit too much pressure for me to keep up with at this stage and I'm thinking of leaving my job (which at this stage i also hate). The only thing is i'm 26 and have bills to pay, is there any other type of payment i could recieve while i'm going through college? I'm stressed to death trying to keep up with both at this stage and it's only been a few weeks so far.

Sorry there's no SW payment for those in full time education apart from BTEA and your not eligible for that

It's designed for people who cannot get a job, possibly due to lack of education/skills, and wish to upskill in order to seek employment. It's design is flawed. It encourages people to be jobless for the year in order to avail of the benifit. That's my 2 cents on it.
