Anybody else not from Munster dislike singing this song at international matches. I can't stand it. I wouldn't sing Molly Malone either btw.

Sure don't sing it so.. Plenty of people do and identify with it. I like the eerie atmosphere it can create but sometimes it just sounds half assed.
I hate molly Malone, not just for rugby..I just don't like it.. you will find it hard to find a song everyone will like and sing

Not keen on it at all myeslf, so just don't sing it. If others like it, let them work away.

We are one of the wealthiest countries in the world but still feel obliged to sing that self pitying mank and at a rugby match? Cry all the way home in your Beemers lads.

Molly Malone!? Why the hell would you sing that?
    Fields of athenry every time.
If we could only sing our national anthem as well it would be great.

Molly Malone was always sang at internationals years ago. The Fields of Athenry is a relatively recent development, as in the last 15 years or so.

Why? The Republic of Ireland doesn't have a national rugby team and the anthem is dirge.

    It's actually:

    Athenry's in Galway,
    Galway is in Leinster,
    Na-na-na-na,
    Na-na-na-na.

To paraphrase Tommy Tiernan, "Well, it's not in f**king Mexico"

I think the change happened around the time the bandwagoners discovered rugby.
