Just a Few Questions...

Just got two quick questions: does paying for water make it so that the quality of water that we get in the near future is increased? Also, does the money we pay for water contribute to the country's overall GDP? Forgive my ignorance, I am not that well informed on the subject.

    Hi Unrelenting Sorrow,

    Thank you for your query.

Irish Water as the new national water utility is working towards the quality of water on a national level. We are currently prioritising customers who are on a Boil Water Notice. Since the establishment of Irish Water several Boil Water Notices have been resolved. The implementation of our First Fix Free scheme has also aided in the conservation of water on a national level. Our First Fix Free scheme, which has been under way for just six months, is already delivering significant results, saving over an estimated 18 million litres of water every day.

In relation to your query regarding the contribution to the country's overall GDP, this Talk To Forum is dedicated to helping customers with queries regarding their bills, meters or water related matters, as outlined in our customer charter. We would be unable to discuss this matter. However, if you have a query similar to any of these topics, please let us know and we will assist you further.

    Kind regards,
    Niall
