Low petrol light staying on when full

    hi all, just looking to pick your brains. i just got a 2002 1.3l mitsubishi colt and iv just noticed a problem with the low fuel light. its staying on even when i filled it up last night. im just wondering if this is a common problem and if there is a repair that can be done?
