    Ho long does it take for payments to reach bank accounts from File Gateway?

    Thank you for contacting us and welcome to Boards.ie.

    This will depend on the type of file that is being submitted, whether it is a direct debit file or a credit transfer bulk payment file. For credit transfer files, these must be issued and authorised for processing at the latest by 3.30pm, 1 working day before the due date. 

    For direct debit files the following timeline applies: 
    • First time or once off collections must be issued and authorised for processing at the latest by 3.30pm, 6 days before the due date. 
    • For recurring or final collections, these must be issued and authorised for processing at the latest by 3.30pm, 3 working days before the due date.
