Learning via lessons alone

I've been trying to learn to drive for the last few months. I have done the 12 lessons; however practise between lessons has been minimal due to me working a lot of hours. I've been given a driving test date for 2 weeks time which I will not be ready for.
The problem is that I recently accepted a new job offer abroad, so if I postpone the driving test, I will not be in the country for the new date.
I am considering packing in the driving now, and doing my test in the new country, however I will not have a car to practise on over there, and will have to do the theory again.

Is it realistic to expect to pass the test abroad without having a car to practise on between lessons? I know I will have to spend more doing lessons but I won't have time to get up to scratch in two weeks and the pressure of trying to do so has been adversely affecting my driving in the last few days.
My main issues are trying to remember to do things such as mirror checks before take off and turning ( I do it most times but not every time). I also need work on my reverse around the corner and roundabouts.
I could do the test in two weeks but I do think I would fail and since I am planning on taking my instuctors car, I would be wasting further money and would still likely fail.

Am I mad to consider waiting until I'm in my new country?

Would it not be worth trying the test here in two-weeks, even for the experience of it. You would also know for certain, from that instructors point-of-view what you need work on compared to other aspects that might just need a little brush-up.

Use the approach: You are using the test just to see where you stand. Don't approach it with a pass/fail mindset, but for experience and what you will gain from trying.

It could stand to you if you decide to take up driving in the country you're moving to.

    Just a thought,
