Book the NCT centre to pay the VRT, Keep all your ferry documents to prove date of entry.
I think they used to be classed as a tractor but the rules changed recently and they are now Cat. B vehicles which are assessed at 13.5% or the OMSP.

It's purely for the registration and not all NCT centres do it, check on line. Not sure but I think it will be the flat €200 with a mog.

What have you bought exactly, just interested?!

I'll give them a ring tomorrow and find out where you bring the commerial vehicles,

It's just a Unimog 1200, with front winch and hiab, have you got one ?

No, just good see another one around working. Bro in law is thinking of getting one to replace both his Defender 130 and Renault tractor. The 130 is usually overweight towing a mini digger and it's only a matter of time before he gets pulled for it!
