    As the title says.
It's in store and comes with the proviso that you check online for Smyth's and Argos to compare prices.

I found them more expensive on a lot of stuff with a few exceptions.
On the whole, the discount brought it down to what the other shops charged.

Imaginext lions castle is 35.99 - 20% which makes it a good deal.
Frustration was 16.99 -20% which made it €13 something.
    Ps4 1tb limited Ed €495-20% = make your own mind up :)

Well worth checking the competition before assuming 20% off will yield a bargain.

Anything we priced in Toys'R'Us recently was significantly more expensive than elsewhere.

Toys'R'Us were apparently excluded from running any promotions until their official opening which is this weekend.

Unless they have lowered prices as well the 20% off isn't going to be much incentive on the bulk of things.

I see their UK website still doesn't have any Blaze and The Monster Machine toys, unlike the US. But the US won't ship them here.
So I ordered a stack of them a few months back and shipped to a US address- they've been brought back in suitcases by work colleagues and family since!

It's the cartoon du jour in our house so will be happy scenes at xmas.

So advise anyone else who'd be thinking of going this route to start planning!

You have to use the .co.uk site and they then ship to here

The one in Blanchardstown has been open for a few weeks already, despite there being no big announcements.

Been a soft opening up to now. Official opening is this weekend.

They are located in the Westend Retail Park, adjacent to the Blanchardstown Centre, where Argos, Heatons & Next (amongst others) are.

Its great that they are doing another few days of 20% off. Personally, i find the staff in the limerick store are second to none. They are fantastic with the kids. We have been to both the opening party and the halloween party and the staff were just so helpful and brilliant with the kids. They also have brilliant deals. I love their own brands. We got great deals any time we were in there.

Where did you hear that they're doing another 20% off? I popped into the Limerick store and I don't think I found a single item cheaper than Smyths. In fact the 20% at that time pretty much only brought their prices on par with their competitors. Very underwhelming for such a large franchise.

Also, I've got to ask. Did you join boards today just so you could say how great it is that Toysrus are doing a sale? Do you work for them really? :D:D:D

The sale is starting tomrw. Its on Mon-Wed. A friend had told me about it but i thought she had seen an older post on facebook coz i knew they had done a 20% already. And no sorry i dont work for toys r us wish i did though. I work in a secondary school not that i need to explain myself to u. Im pretty sure everyone is entitled to an opinion. I think they have great staff and great home brands. I joined boards.ie today actually to gather some useful advice and information on a legal matter.

No offence meant. Just looked kind of weird how you joined today and only have three posts which are all singing the stores praises. My first thought was a staff member being a shill. But you're 100 percent correct... your motives are none of my business.

Even with the discount they only come on par with Smyth's and Argos pricing.
Smyth's have a voucher on Tuesday for €6 in the papers.

I take it you don't teach English...my use of grammar says it all;)

    Minimum spend is €15.
I've another thread on the details.

Ha, I was just thinking how it would be funny if ToysRus ended up being blacklisted here on Bargain Alerts because of staff members shilling for business in a similar way to what happened to that gearbest crowd. Imagine that staff member trying to explain to management that they got their company blacklisted on Irelands biggest bargain site because they thought that people are gullible?
