Personal or Business Investment?

    Hello,

I'm coming into some money, ~40k, soon and am deliberating over what to do with it.

I am in the early stages of self employment and could potentially pump the money into the business, however in reality my costs are incredibly low. Next to nil for the most part.

I do web development and related work, from home, and my costs really only include a few cheap software subscriptions, ~ €30-50 per month, so I was considering what a good personal investment would look like instead.

I have no experience of investments and while I have a passing interest in the stock market I feel that perhaps now is not a great time to be entering due to volatility in global markets.

Regular savings with low interest rates are an option but not a great return it seems.

It goes without saying that as self employed with low turnover I would have next to no chance of property (nor the inclination if i'm honest).

Basically looking for any advice that is appropriate. Thanks.

Checkout SURE with revenue. You can reclaim previous paye tax based upon what you put into a company. Might work for you.

Cheers thanks, I'll be sure to take a look.

The difficulty there is figuring out how best to make use of it within the business! Can't really argue with a potential 40% rebate though.

Been reconsidering stock though as well. Since markets are down all over the place it kind of makes a certain amount of sense that it might actually that now is the perfect time to try and make a savvy purchase.

    Lot's to think about anyway.
