Hi folks have to travel from Dublin airport from around 7:15 to 7:30 am to an appointment in dental hospital at end of trinity collage. Was thinking of parking in the car park on fleet street and walking from there,
I Don't usually drive in Dublin that early so was wondering with all the roadworks going on, will it be possible for me to still drive up d'Olier street from O'connoll street and then turn right on to west moreland street and left on to fleet street.
or is there a better alternative. Thanks in advance.

You can still drive this way but with the roadworks for the luas it is a nightmare at the best of times. To be honest I would avoid trying to drive into the city centre if at all possible.

Have you considered getting a dart to Pearse St station and walking up Westland Row?

Park in Mountjoy square or the qpark on Parnell st. Walk over to Lincoln place

You could get Aircoach direct to Grafton Street / Kildare Street or the 747 as far as the IFSC for €6-7.

Considering this is a one off thing, if I were you I'd take the port tunnel (that will cost you badly in the morning, but you'll be in town real quick), turn up the quays (on the point depot side I mean), cross over the samuelbeckett bridge and then head for parking at the car park near molesworth st.
    Route:
Macken st - Pearse st - Westland row - merrion st upr - Ely place - Hume st - Stephens green

Well - that's what I'd do. I know it's the dear option but I'd pay for the convenience considering it's a trip to the dental hosp.

Are you going to be safe to drive after dental work?

No left turn from North Wall Quay to
    Samuel Beckett Bridge.
and then head for parking at the car park near molesworth st.
this would mean going via Hume Street.

Thanks for all the advice folks.
Had to use car as I was dropping one person to airport and then the 2nd to the dental hospital for 9am and as I am living down the sticks a long time now, I am always surprised/caught out by some new road layouts, roadwork's or other on the occasional times that I need to drive in the city centre.
Left the airport approx. 7;30 and got to fleet street for 8:30. Slowest part was all the way into Drumcondra and as far as the turn off for Gardiner street, then from there it was handy turning onto O'Connell street and then around D'Olier.

This driving in the city lark is feckin mad stressful, Glad I'm not having to do that on a regular basis.
Took just over an hour to drive the 60 mile to Dublin airport and the same time again just to drive the 7 or 8 miles into the city centre
