Sometimes these things slip through the next. Either way its a Samsung S6 spec at a third of the price :)

Have you looked at the Vodafone Smart ultra 6 for 175 unlocked?
Very rare for anything to slip by these days plus if it breaks what so you do?

Yeah, the Elephone is way better. It's got dual sim, expandable memory and a FM radio

Same RAM, OS, screen size, similar CPU, nearly double the battery life, with expandable memory and dual SIM for less than 200. Seems decent. Maybe Santa will surprise me :P

The fact its predecessor is more expensive than it tells its own story...

    What does it say?

    Pros
    -Excellent battery life
    -Great display
    -Nice design
    -3 GB of RAM
-Fingerprint reader is nice when it works

    Cons
    -Disappointing camera quality
-Potential quality control issues with display
-Some units do not include the notification LED
    -Distorted speaker output
    -Low headphone volume

The Elephone P8000 gets a lot right, including its good display, nice design and solid build quality, and excellent battery life, and it also nice to see the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner with a device in this price range. That said, potential quality control issues with the display and disappointing aspects like the camera and audio quality are a let down. It's still a good choice in this price range, but there are some better options out there.

    I 'have' a P8000.
It's a nice phone, battery is good, screen is good.

However, WiFi signal was abysmal, and GPS was even worse. Sent it back for repair, so no phone for 2 months.
I sent it back through the seller, but despite having an app pre-installed that sends notifications reminding you to give them feedback, Elephone do not respond to anything. The P8000 is full of complaints, common issues are no notification led, phone gets stuck in an update loop, Wifi / mobile data issues, camera wouldn't work with 3rd party apps.

If you get lucky, you'll get a really nice phone for a great price, but otherwise...

Stay away, this phone has numerous issues. Get the Ultra 6. At least then you have the peace of mind of a local warranty.

I really think Elephone need to sort their QC out.

Yeah, its easy to make a phone with great specs, but just one glitch with a major feature and you are goosed. Given that you have to ship them back to china and run the customs gauntlet a few times in the case of a failure, its just not worth it, considering you can get a good enough smart ultra or moto G with slightly worse specs.
