Kitchen lighting

    Hi Folks,

A bit of advice here - we've had a new kitchen put in as part of a build (with other woes as featured in another thread in construction). We're very happy with the kitchen itself but less enamored with the lights fitted by the electrician.

Basically we wanted a warm 'mood' lighting effect. Instead what we got was warm light under the kitchen cabinets and supermarket lighting on the top. See attached pic (sorry for the mess).

Now electrician said some difference is inevitable because the lower lighting is a flourescent bulb whilst the upper lighting is LED. He also said that the fact that the lower lighting is being bounced off paint as opposed to white painted wood on top is causing a difference.

The difference was *stark*. He has since fitted a diffuser on top and is insistent that this is fine. He has also showed me the pack of the top LEDs and they do say 'warm'.

    Grateful for advice/opinion.

Why didn't use LED on both? Plus You can get colour changer even in IKEA.
