My Suzuki Aerial was snapped off and I took it to a motor factor shop
to get a replacement, however I was told I had to take it to a main Suzuki
Dealer to get the whole lot replaced. I was hoping I could pick one up and just unscrew the the old and replace with new. The man said it had to be replaced through the pillar. Any advice on a cheaper fix appreciated
    Thanks

Get a used one from a scrapyard. Suzuki were one of the last manufacturers to use pillar mounted aerials.
Price one from Suzuki anyway, it mightn't be too bad.

Back in the day people used clothes hangers when their aerial snapped - so there's your ultra-budget option.

Would it be for an Ignis or Wagon R or what?

Also I would advise you take off the old one first, also removing the plastic inside the pillar. If your lucky there may be an aerial twist on connection behind the plastic of the pillar. If not you may need to run the cable up behind the radio. bit more difficult.
