Hi,

I'm looking for a website or something where there is a list of legal aid solicitors or if there's a website I can search on for free legal aid solicitors in my locality?

I've been looking online for a few days now and can't seem to find anything and I would greatly appreciate any help.

I have looked around on Boards but I can't seem to find anything about it, apologies if I have missed anything or if I have posted in the wrong section.

I assume that you mean a list of solicitors on the criminal legal aid panel rather than a list of solicitors who participate in the private practitioners scheme for civil legal aid.

I don't think that such a list is publicly available.

If you are looking for a criminal defence solicitor, nearly all of the them are on the criminal legal aid panel. Therefore, I'd suggest that you should ask for a recommendation for a solicitor who does criminal work and then check with said solicitor to ensure that he/she is on the criminal legal aid panel.

Also, most Garda stations have a list of local solicitors who carry out Garda station visits.
