    Hi there,
Got the above text message today. I didn't phone. I would have thought if Irish Water wanted to talk to me they would phone me?

Irish Water won't tell me cause the account is registered in my wife's name yet they sent the text to me... I'm sure if it's important they will text again or maybe go crazy and phone.. Or send a letter...

I would assume they wouldn't have the man power to ring the amount of people registered so companies batch send SMS as reminders to pay to numbers provided by the
registration. It's then up to the household to pay , SMS is a reminder. I haven't registered or paid either so no SMS for me:)

I took it to be spam and deleted it - the "before 8pm" thing made it look a bit sus.
