    Hi all,

I recently applied for a job with a huge tech firm based in Dublin. They offered me the job and I accepted. They mentioned they run a back round check and provided everything is in order its locked in.

Does anyone know what exactly this entails? They have not asked for my pps so I cannot see how they can do much with out it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Normally very detailed references.

Are you working in anything connected with accounting and finance? If so they may well do a credit check on you or ask for copies of bank statements.

    Is this company in Eastpoint?

I had a 10 year background check and it involved proof of my whereabouts every few months over that time period, Payslips from employers were sufficient.

No not for a Finance role or Company.
I supplied references but that's about all I gave them..

depends who the company is, for my own current employer

    - professional references for the last 5 years (all contacted)
    - Educational achievements for the last 5 years

In regards to the professional side of things, very much a case of "did helimachoptor work here from X date to x date and did he have Y position"

College gave them a PFO however asked me was it ok to release my details/grades and then sent them on.

not sure what company they used.

One word of warning.. if you have lied you'll likely be in the job before the results came back. I think it was 2 months in before i got anything from HR
