My shooting buddy's t8 moderater just blew off his gun while he was testing it in. He has it about 15 years or more so it owes him nothing. I have a t8 as well and find it excellent. The question is what is the best one that is on the market now

The question is: Is the rifle okay?

What do you mean it just blew off? sounds like it wasnt on tight and he had a baffle strike or something any pics?

No. It blew off as he was firing it and it landed 3feet in front of the rifle. Screwed it back on and it did the same thing again. Threads on the end of the rifle are ok

That dosent sound good, and potentially very dangerous. The question of what is best depends on the situation or the individual alot of the top manufacturers are around the same db reduction it boils down to materials, weight and how much you are willing to spend.

Send it back to Jackson rifles the will sell you a new one for just over half the price of new after 15 years what would you expect out of it

15 years old sounds like the threads on the mod were worn out if its blowing off the gun.
