    That's 29 on their site?

What network do they piggy back off? Guessing three?

I'm confused, is that a current offer? If not why are you posting about it?

OP, I prefer Meteor PAYG: Unlimited, calls(any network), texts (any network) and/or data (7.5Gb) for €30 or any two of those for €20.

You don't really need the texts when you have the data, just bully your elderly relatives into getting whatsapp.

I use 15 euro top up on tesco gets you 10,000 minutes (of which i use about 20) you keep your 15 euro and I buy a gig of data for 30 days for 5 euro, (that's all i use). (10 euro for 5gb for 30 days)

A fiver club card voucher multiplies to 15 euro call credit, I think i have 50 euro credit built up at the moment so might stop topping up for a few months.

you can buy Playstation Online Store credit or Xbox Live Credit for that using http://hmvgamecredit.com/IE

If you stretch by a whopping €1.20 per month you can double that data allowance.

    My current set up
    Dual sim PAYG

Meteor for calls, free calls to other meteor numbers for a fiver top-up (almost all of my friends and family are on meteor so the calls are free and the fiver does me for texts and calls for the rest of the month)

3 PAYG 20 euros top-up for unlimited internet for 30 days, credit doesn't get used up unless you make calls or use Data after the 30 days expire.

Because I'm never using my 3 credit for phone calls, I use the credit during the month to pay for Google Play Music and books and apps from the android app store.

I actually feel a little sorry for 3

Switch to the super deluxe 4G plan. It's at the bottom of the page. It's a 30 day contract.

Ah right. The thing is that I just choose to get the calls and data for €20, I want to cap my spend at ~€20 that as I have mobile broadband to pay for as well.

Is that offer for if a friend has iD or is it just people who work in carphone warehouse do you know?

Its a promo they ran before full launch, they gave each carphone warehouse employee a few sims. The offer is over and unactivated ones can no longer be activated so you're out of look unfortunately. Haven't had any problems with id but if I wasn't on the f&f deal I'd probably still be with three. IDs plans aren't really anything special.

TM is arguably better. Top-up by €15 get free calls and free webtexts use the €15 to buy up to 7.5GB of data add-ons.

No 4G with TM at the moment.

Emobile 24e per month, 30 day roll over- unlimited calls & texts in Ireland AND to UK... free roaming and 15gb data on 4g!! Excellent reception & data speeds... Very Very happy!!

Won't go back on any of the 3 piggyback networks no matter how good the deal sounds.. Have tried Tesco and 48 but no 4g and so many people on the same network really slows it down!

I'm on the €31.20 deal month to month with meteor, unlimited calls and texts, 15gb data, 50 international mins 50 int texts, 50 roaming mins and 50 roaming texts but your deal seems better and cheaper!

I'm on this plan also. Very happy with it. Have had to make quite a few calls to the UK lately plus I've been in mainland Europe for a stint. All included!

The plan is an Eir Business plan. It appears to be €30 plus VAT now on the site. The €20 plus VAT rate was a promotion a few months ago.

    Anyone have problems with tesco?

do u need to be self employeed?...

You don't need to have broadband with them.

You are supposed to be in business yourself however I have heard that different stores and different staff look for different proof of this. A chat with someone in your local Eir store would clarify exactly what's needed.

Highly irrelevant post considering it's an in-house offer. Can't compare that with the Meteor offer when most people can't get it.

No need for the idiotic reply. You know what you said makes no difference to regular consumers.

 Insults now, is it? Next time, don't reply to a post you think is irrelevant in the first place. Its an open forum.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,799 ✭✭✭Doodah7

Anyway, where is the link on the new eir.ie website to mobile phones that you can buy? I can't seem to find it!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

As far as I can see, they only do bundles now. Can't just sign up for mobile any more. Ridiculous if that's the case.

Not an insult at all. Open forum, open opinion on your sarcastic reply to me being idiotic. If you can't see that, that's ok. :)

You can also use the fiver clubcard voucher to buy a €15 top up so if you shop at Tesco you can have free calls, texts and data for a (free) €5 clubcard voucher each month.

On it a year with no issues.

I was told about it in a meteor store when I was looking for a alternative to ripoff Vodafone... €55 for calls, texts & 4gb data!! Locked into 2 year contract I wasn't told about grrrr

Anyway, couldn't find anything about it on any websites but it's legit... Yeah meant to be a business deal but I only showed a business card no vat number or anything!

Plus have my partner on same deal... So happy with reception & 4g data speeds... And no contract even though I couldn't imagine wanting to change in foreseeable future!!

Signed up in local meteor store :)

It is a really good deal but no 4g & I just found the network too contested as so many piggybacking on it!
