Anybody know what the typical connection fees are for a new house in a new development (large estate)? The builder will do the actual physical connections and provide the completion cert for the ESB, so hoping the charges for stuff like electricity, water and gas won't be as high as they can be for one off new builds.

If buying off plans in a large developer built estate, surely he has to do the connection. How else can the contractor sign off on all electrical items and all mech and elec item be commissioned without permanent power???
