Correcting facia board?

    Hello Folks,

The lad that put on my pvc facia board left it at 7 inches, but the wooden facia board behind it is 6 inches! He rammed the pvc board up tight against the slates in order to make it fit better. Problem is he has trapped the felt which comes out from underneath the slates and is supposed to go into the gutter when it goes up.
Anyway, I checked inside in the attic and the felt is dipped down a bit just inside the facia. This would cause pooling of any water which may get in under the slates.
I tried pulling the felt out from outside but it will tear as its wedged too tight between facia and slates..

Should I do something with it or am I over thinking the issue?

    Thanks for the replies,

That fascia board wont come off to handy
Ringshanked nails, could crack if forced......so i would leave it and if it becomes a problem get it sorted

either that and get the lad back to sort it out

    thanks for the reply enda,

the lad will not be coming back as I was unhappy with a few other things he done also so we are not on the best of terms.
I agree with you to wait an see. I am a firm believer in if its not broke don't fix it, but, while now I have access and can see everything inside, later I cannot. In a few days I will be getting the rafters filled with foam. If there is an issue later I will not know till things get very bad.

    I would consider this:

a much bigger potential issue than this:
