    Hi all,

Just a quick question in regards to turf. How many fertiliser bags (25 kg) would you expect to get from a row of turf 8 sods wide by roughly 100 yards?

    Thanks in advance.

You'l know when they're full, if it's bags you want I've plenty of them.

It's a very difficult question to answer. Black turf will fill far less bags than brown turf. Then what some lads call a full bag is what other lads call half a bag :-)

And that's before sum lads cut the top few inches off :-)

Easiest way to know is fill 1 yard of turf or 1 meter and multiply the amount of bags you filled by a hundred it will give you a rough idea.
Bags can be different sizes for can or urea etc so anything else would be only guessing.
