This whole tractor fuel crap has to stop.

I drive a petrol car because that's what makes sense for me. Most of my trips are <30 km. I'd be changing DPF's left and right.

Diesel cars make perfect sense for people who do high mileage. And with the tax incentives they make even more sense. They're nowhere near as exciting as a nicely tuned gas engine. But most people don't care about that. They just need to get from A to B.

    /rant.

    On-topic: that's a nice E34.

In these situations we have 2 types of people:
    Petrol heads
    Petrol arseholes

Sadly, too many are showing the latter; their true colours

I'd love to have a petrol - in line 6 ideally, but I couldn't run it, and it also wouldn't do the stuff I need from a vehicle. The only alternative to my 3 Litre diesel lump would be a v8 petrol.. NOPE!!

Petrol does rule the performance game, we all know that. But diesel has its place. The problem is the ludicrous emmission based tweaking and the trend towards ultra small capacity turbodiesels... And tax

In these troubled times who couldn't use reminder of when cars used to be properly built, diesel was found in tractors, they looked magnificent and the marketing men didn't rule the roost.

Were these not the ones that had the head made out of putty?
I know I had an 1989 version and blew the head clean of it.
    Great cruiser though!
