sligo live fest

    hey,

    will be in sligo the bank hol wknd, is there usually a good atmosphere around for the gigs? will there be any other gigs on outside of the festival, just wondered as i havnt got tics for any of them yet.?
    staying in the riverside.

    There should be loads of gigs going on in other pub/music venues. Lots of them. The Waterboys (seated) and Jools Holland are sold out unfortunately. Still tickets standing for the Waterboys, but I'd say they'll sell out soon.

    There normally is (or has in the past) been a free gig guide to all the "fringe" music events. The town wont be buzzin/heaving like it was for the Fleadh, but there is a fair few visitors to the town.

    If it were me, I would use the Swagman as my base camp/first port of call.

    Pick up a copy of the Gig listings and take things from there.

    Rackhouse Pilfer in The Garavogue at 3pm on the Saturday. Can't go wrong with the lads it'll be a great gig and it's free.
