Twenty years ago a gang of us used to do this every year for a long weekend in Ventry. Bus to Limerick, change to get a bus to Tralee, another bus on to Dingle. 8 hours of fun!

A long journey, but nice I think!

If you're using Bus Eireann you change buses in Limerick (there can be a bit of a wait but you might be glad of it to get a coffee etc) and then in Tralee. In each of them you dont have to leave the Bus station. There are other bus services from Dublin to Tralee - the green M7 buses now make that trip too but you'd need to compare prices, times etc. In both cases the only bus to Dingle is the Bus Eireann 275 from Tralee. (3 or 4 times a day I think)

For the love of God get the train to Tralee first. Your rear end and your sanity will thank you.

Yes, I know it is far. Maybe I stay a night in Limerick first. I have to go after my job at Thursday. Have to check train price, a good idea too. Thanks.
