    Hi

I am thinking of moving to the Athenry/Oranmore or even Knocknacarra area of Galway

is it possible to ONLY get TV and Broadband in a bundle ?

Or do you always have to get the phone line too if getting the tv and broadband bundle.

I have absolutely zero use for a land line phone, I dont want free world time calls, free national calls etc etc

Yes. But sometimes you get the three services for the price of two.

Yes it's IP TV which is done via your broadband connection it's supposed to be ok if you want a basic TV experience.

AFAIK Eircom reserve an a$$load of your bandwidth for the service - 10 or 20Mbps - you won't be able to use that for normal browsing/downloading.

I think the Stable Profile is used with eVision. The stable and rate adaptive profiles up to 2000m can be seen in Appendix 10 of the NGA IPM manual p114. From reading previous posts here I believe there is a min. DL speed required before they will provide the service, 12Mbps?

Yeah, 12 for 1 STB, I think 18 for 2-3 STBs. Single SD box is around 4Mb, and HD is around 6Mb. When the STB boots up the modem will QoS off that amount for its use (so a 20Mb VDSL connection becomes a 14Mb connection when a HD STB is powered up).

I think I read that myself online might be a bit of an issue for some people.
