Mk1 focus and has a sony CD player, I also have a box wired to the CD player with a cable to connect an iPhone I wonder if I can get a cable and convert to a USB maybe

Does the box not have a USB>iPod lead stuck in it?

    Connect to the iphone how?

Wireless/bluetooth, via the main charging/docking port on the iphone or via the headphone socket?

Unless you can control the phone via the stereo it is very unlikely you can play music from a memory stick. In that case the simplest solution is to buy a new stereo with mp3 playback via USB capability.

I bought the cd player 2nd hand and it came with a box that plugs into the rear of the cd player then it has a cable running from it were i can connect my iphone and play music from the phone through the cd player, i can take a pic of it later to show yous what im on about

Be handy to be able to play music through the player using a usb stick but dont want to be buying another player i should of thought abit fooking harder before buying it although the one in the car broke and the silence was driving me insane lol
