Yes I know - Not another wheel thread...! I done a search to no avail so here goes..!

I got a set of wheels built for my Peugeot Commuter bike aout 2 1/2 Years ago.

Mavic A119 and A319 built on the original Sachs-Maillard 36H with Sapim spokes. I have gave them some fearsome abuse in fairness and they stood up well..

Bearings are shot on both front and back hubs, cones fecked and races marked quite badly. Rims still serviceable and pin straight as well.

Problem is that the rear dropouts are 126mm and the only wheels I can find have 135mm axle spacing.

Im at a loss what to do now...

    1. I have a set of unmarked Campag Record hubs with the proper 126mm spacing - These have seen hardly any use. Build the 2 wheels with these hubs - will they take the same abuse and load as the last ones ?

    2. Try and source 2 new wheels with 126mm axle spacing and wide rims.

    3. Just get a new modern bike and stop messing around

I got good advice on my Puggy 531pro a good while ago and she never looked back...!!

Use the campag hubs, its what they were born for !

    Agree with this ^^^

And when they eventually die, standard road wheels with 130mm spacing for the rear will work in your 126mm frame if it's steel.
