So had my first experience on a ATR, interior was a bit shabby but all in all grand experience, loads of leg room compared to a Ryanair flight.

One question I have is while taxing the aircraft seemed to be going very fast when compared the taxing speed of a 737

Your're sitting much closer to the ground in an ATR so the perception of speed will seem faster. Also a B737 might have to go slower when negoiating tight taxiways at smaller airports. The distance between the nose wheel and main gear on a B737 is longer than an ATR so when a 737 makes a 90 degree turn it may almost come to a stop while the nose wheel makes the turn before picking up speed again whilst an ATR could corner like a F1 racing car.

You can say that again, landed in Dublin but defo felt that it was going a lot faster than a 737

Would St. Fintan be the oldest in the Aer Lingus fleet? I flew on it a couple of years ago

Were you on the new 600 series or the older ones, should explain the interior been slightly different.

I was going to ask the same Question were you on 72-200 or 72-600? as the interiors differ

I don't know, it was white on the outside , I know I know , and didn't have that big cargo space in the front

They're not in the Aer Lingus fleet. They're Stobart aircraft.
