Washer Dryer vs Washing machine

    Hi,

We are moving into our first home in next few weeks. A washing machine is on the shopping list. To date in our rental accommodation we have had the use of a dryer, we don't use it too frequently but would like to have the option so think a washer dryer will be a good use plan of attack.

We have noticed that there are way more washing machines to washer dryers in the shops. Is there a particular reason for this? We would perfer to get one unit rather than two.

    Cheers

A washer dryer has the same size drum as a regular wm, a full wash load need a way more room as they dry so in general half the load has to be removed to start the drying process, if there are only 2 of you a washer dryer may suit your needs as the wash load generally wont be as big as a family with kids
